The Rooihout smoked salmon is a Norwegian salmon that is responsibly farmed. In addition, it owes its distinctive name to the type of wood on which it is smoked, South African padauk (also called Rooihout). Because all of our salmon is hand-salted, the products retain the prized texture that melts on the tongue.

Being smoked on grub wood gives the salmon a deep smoky flavor and its characteristic color. Easy to combine with multiple dishes, but also delicious to eat on its own.
